Palestine's Trail Of Tears (2023) by Kevin ''Rashid'' Johnson   Joe Biden pronounced Amerika stands with Israel; that the US supports genocidal plans is real   cuz it still exists as a land built by exterminating natives and Afrikans killed by   being kidnapped and forcibly enslaved like the survivors of the holocaust we're amazed   that any Blacks and Indians are left at all worse still Israel has border walls   [...]

Global Leaders Plead for Peace in Ukraine at UN

by Medea Benjamin and Nicolas J. S. Davies As it did last year, the 2023 United Nations General Assembly has been debating what role the United Nations and its members should play in the crisis in Ukraine. The United States and its allies still insist that the UN Charter requires countries to take Ukraine’s side in the conflict, “for as long as it takes” to restore Ukraine’s pre-2014 internationally recognized borders. Lara-Nour Walton [Excerpt] https://fair.org/home/six-tropes-to-look-out-for-that-distort-israel-palestine-coverage/ “This is quite something,” remarked Nadi Abusaada in a May 8 tweet. As many of us have done, the Palestinian academic found himself experimenting with the seemingly boundless powers of OpenAI’s ChatGPT software. But during this activity, he uncovered something disturbing. “I asked @OpenAI whether Palestinians deserve to be free,” he said. The natural-language processing tool responded to Abusaada’s query ambivalently: As an AI language model, I do [...]

U.S.-Backed Roll of the Dice Leaves Ukraine in Worse Crisis

by Medea Benjamin and Nicolas J. S. Davies President Biden wrote in the New York Times in June 2022 that the US was arming Ukraine to “fight on the battlefield and be in the strongest possible position at the negotiating table.” Ukraine’s fall 2022 counteroffensive left it in a stronger position, yet Biden and his NATO allies still chose the battlefield over the negotiating table. Now the failure of Ukraine’s long-delayed “Spring [...]

The Silent Slaughter of the Flower of Ukraine’s Youth

by Medea Benjamin and Nicolas J. S. Davies As Ukraine prepared to launch its much heralded but long delayed counteroffensive, the media published a photograph of a Ukrainian soldier with his finger on his lips, symbolizing the need for secrecy to retain some element of surprise for this widely telegraphed operation. Now that the offensive has been under way for two weeks, it is clear that the Ukrainian government and its Western [...]

by Medea Benjamin and Nicolas J. S. Davies When Japan invited the leaders of Brazil, India and Indonesia to attend the G7 summit in Hiroshima, there were glimmers of hope that it might be a forum for these rising economic powers from the Global South to discuss their advocacy for peace in Ukraine with the wealthy Western G7 countries that are militarily allied with Ukraine and have so far remained deaf to [...]
