THE HIDDEN CRISIS IN AMERICA’S JAILS—DYING INSIDE

https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-jails-deaths/ “A lot of people are dying, and they've never been sentenced, and that's obviously a huge problem.” A Reuters investigation has documented thousands of in-custody death in jails, in most cases prior to trial and conviction. This should be a huge national scandal and a high-priority topic in the election, but it isn't. Here's the Justice Dept. memo in which AG Jeff Sessions ordered Trump's DOJ to stop seeking jail reform consent decrees: https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/1109621/download Watch the disturbing, graphic video… https://queso.prod.reuters.tv/rest/v2/queso/static/id/RCV8UH2/mp4 Rare scrutiny shows that deaths in [...]

Fortified and Enriched Foods https://www.healthline.com/health/food-nutrition/fortified-and-enriched-foods In some cases, fortified or enriched foods are helpful. They can fill in the gaps and increase a particular vitamin and mineral consumption that would otherwise be less than the recommended value. But it’s also easy to get too much. These foods can contribute to nutrient overdoses. Be aware of how much of each nutrient you are eating. Don’t forget to include foods that don’t come with a nutrition label, like dark leafy greens. People Get Ready:  There's a Bad Moon on the Rise by Michael Novick, Anti-Racist Action-LA (https://antiracist.org) As you read this, there is barely a month to election day. What are you doing to prepare for the possible outcomes and their consequences? The citizen was able to avoid harm by using the [...]
